Here we go again

This weekend was the close of the ski season at the place where we had season passes. Kit and Remi have been bugging Matt to take them for the last few weeks- it's been ages since they've skied- with the rain and the warm weather and the start of the rugby season. I REALLY didn't want to go. The last week my toe has been almost good (as long as I don't wear certain shoes) and I didn't want to take any risks before our trip to the Caymans in a few weeks. I remembered the time Kit broke his arm (the first time) right before he, Matt and Remi went to St. Kitt's for the Cricket world cup- and how much that sucked for him.

Well, guess what??? It's going to suck for him again. Yep, that's right- he broke his arm again. This kid has the most incredible and actually quite scary pain threshold. Look at him- hardly bothered. Obviously there were a lot of tears when he first did it and he had to be stretchered off the mountain by the ski patrol, but he's totally blase about the whole thing- 3rd time round.
I took him in for Xrays as soon as Matt got home with them and he has a temporary splint on it for now- I have to take him into his Ortho on Monday. It's the same arm (only slightly higher and not all the way through) that he broke 2 years ago ( when we were staying with Dave and Chels). Fun times.

  3. I don't believe it!! He must have fractures all up that arm! Poor Kit Kat. How is he going to swim in the Caymans? He probably thought it a big adventure being stretchered off. At least you know the drill George - I imagine you were able to spring into action very efficiently after the previous times! Big hug to Kit from Nan xxx

    Hi,

Do they do water proof casts over there? they do here in Oz..my Lachlan has managed to break the same arm twice - of course each time just before holidays. The come in such goovey colours and mean they can swim, shower etc. Makes life a lot easier! Best of luck. Libby
