Old and Crippled

It's my birthday. Not the big one, but the one before. Ella always comes through and makes me feel special- she made me a lovely card and a birthday hat.
I've told the others not to worry too much (not that they usually do). I had such a wonderful trip and I'm not feeling great with my toe. I went and had xrays yesterday as it is so painful. It is broken, just like I thought, although I had 3 different people tell me different places where. The orthopedic surgeon, though, is sure it's just in the toe and strapped it for me and gave me a soft boot to wear.
Looks like I've taped it with sticky tape. So I'm hobbling around and spending a lot of time with my foot up.

And we got snow last night- and a 90 minute delay on school start was called right at the last minute. I was hoping for one so I could sleep in, but it was only as Oscar was about to go out the door and we were all up and getting ready that they posted it on the website. DOH! Oh well at least we got to spend a nice breakfast together.

  7. Hilde, it is so nice to know that you are younger than me. Only for a few months more though...
Chels, yes got your lovely little parcel. I said to Oscar BEFORE I opened it- "I love getting parcels for Chelsea because she decorates the wrapping so well" and I wasn't disappointed.
Nettie, haven't been doing much sitting- more running around to supermarkets and house work. I did promise Matt that we'd put on a good party for him on Saturday!
