The view from my couch while "watching" American football

These two- are either giving each other dead arms or snuggling up together. I managed to very sneakily take this photo while they were watching to football last night. Remi plays the fool so much- because he can make Oscar laugh.

And the scrape down his face- Matt took Oscar, Rem and Ella skiing on Saturday and Remi had a big stack while coming off a jump. Banged his head and got a few other bruises. He's ok, though. I've made him take it easy, even though he got the OK from the ski patrol.

And what was I doing watching American football?- well it was the playoffs, so I had no choice really, but I started knitting a new jumper for Ella, so I was happily occupied. We watched City of Ember again on Saturday night. A great kids' movie. I spent the whole movie just drooling over the jumper that Lina Mayfleet wears. When I finally mentioned it, Ella said she did too and that led to a stash raid and for a blue green version to appear on my needles. I love movies where the costume designers have really got into the knitting. The Golden Compass is another one where I wanted to copy a couple of designs. An interesting concept- putting out a knitting book of a movie! Why not, they have every other kind of merchandising. Anyway, Lina's/Ella/s jumper is a very simple design, so hopefully I'll manage a rough approximation without a pattern.
