I was reminded this morning that I'd been away from the blog for a week. Goodness. I guess not a lot has happened around here this week. I got sick-again! And spent a few days doing nothing but read. By the time I was feeling better I had Ella home for a day. I think she was quite happy to be home as she cut out some snowflakes and made paper chains...

But the PLUS side (as far as I'm concerned) is we've finally had some COLD weather. The pond is starting to freeze in places and the ground is getting harder. We've missed 2 snow storms that have happened in the area, though- totally passed us by even though they got a few inches just a bit inland. The mountain where we have season passes finally opened on Friday (they've been making snow too) so Matt and Remi are up there right now getting in the first ski of the season. Oscar didn't go because he's feeling a bit battered after going RIGHT up the front of the mosh pit at the Arctic Monkeys concert he and Matt went to on Friday night. Matt (and the friends they went with) said as soon as the band started Oscar just disappeared. Apparently at one point he was on the floor getting trampled and another he lost his shoe. Of course he loved every minute of it but did look a bit worse for wear when he finished rugby training yesterday morning in FREEZING conditions.
Kit and Ella are chilling before more Nutcracker rehearsals today. I HAD intended to catch up on house work this morning but after a late night at a Christmas party where we had to shout to be heard my throat is raw again and I'm feeling like curling up in bed with my book might be the ticket for today. The temps are supposed to go back up later and there's more RAIN in the forecast. YUCK! I'd much rather have snow.
Hopefully I'll be back here before next weekend- Kit and Ella have a Christmas concert at school tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll have some photos from that. And it's Ella's real birthday coming up too. Oh MY, only 12 days 'till Christmas...
It sounds a bit full on Christmas time. Hope get that snow soon!
