Christmas a cometh

We made it through the weekend-loads of socialising and ridiculously mild weather. We spent most of Thanksgiving sitting outside. We'd hoped to start skiing this weekend-but there's no snow yet. Maybe next weekend...
Really feel like we're on the run into Christmas now. So much so that, despite the weather, we went and got our Christmas tree today. The next few weekends are so busy that it seemed like now or never- and I like to have mine up for a full month-especially as this is the DARK time of the year. There's nothing nicer than coming downstairs in the dark in the morning to the lovely lights on the tree (I set the timer) or having them pop on right before the kids come home from school. Of course the kids (the littlies at least) were besides themselves with excitement.

Here they are being angelic.
And not so angelic.
And this is what teenage boys do while you are decorating the tree...there was football on.
I may not be around here much this week- I have 2 more hats to make and the kids have 1/2 days of school (Kit and Ella at least) for parent teacher conferences. Plus I need to get some Christmas shopping in at some point...and card making, and present making... But I DO LOVE this time of year. Now all I want is a BLAST of cold weather and some lovely snow flakes.
