The kids are better and back at school- but on Tuesday when I was helping Kit with some homework that involved coloured pencils, I started a doodle on a piece of cardboard with the crappy crayola pencils. I was kinda enjoying it so much that over the next few days I did a little bit more. I finished today. Kind of reminds me of an illustration in a children's book. The kids love it anyway and it was so much fun to do. It's kind of sort of an homage to my little shed in the back which was demolished by the falling tree. It's still "standing" there all smashed up. I've been thinking that I should see if I could salvage some of the wood planks- they would make AWESOME frames for pictures and things. They're all weathered and gorgeous. Not quite sure how to go about that though. Maybe I'll have a go this weekend. Probably something the boys would enjoy helping me do.
LOVING this picture! It leads on perfectly from your mushroom series, and I just love the detail in the planks. Good on you for finishing your cardy as well. I love the deep grey colour. Wendy xxx
