creative summer

One of the things I love about the summer holidays is that the kids have TIME. Time to be bored, time to play, time to get CREATIVE.

Oscar went out with my camera before, just for the sake of it, and when I was downloading the photos I took, I found these gems...

I love how he's captured the blurred American flag in the background here-appropriate for 4th July.

And Ella...well she's been working hard on her mansion for a couple of days now. She made a smaller house but we think it got eaten by cats. She's very proud of it and has used up 2 whole rolls of sticky tape in the process. Building has halted until funds for sticky tape can be obtained.
The residents of her house are little fluff ball things called WEEBLES. She also makes little glasses for them.
Some rooms are a little empty...it is a work in progress.
This is looking through the front door...
Don't you just love how the car has a thule.
Love it.

  1. Great photos Oscar! The one of your dog is a real character shot. And Ella, I used to do this sort of thing as a young girl. But I never made anything as huge as your mansion! I love that you have a bird painting on one of the walls!
