I can see clearly now (the Rain hasn't gone!)

It's 7:21 am on Saturday morning and it's RAINING.  I've just dropped Oscar and Matt up to the highschool for their bus trip up to the state tournament in Hartford, Remi's soccer game has been cancelled and I'm wondering how many people will want to sit in the rain and have their faces painted-and I've been practicing!  Fortunately for Remi, the rain did clear up long enough to allow the middle school kids to go to the fair last night (they open up all the rides just for them). But it has returned.  We have fingers and legs and everything else crossed that it will clear up by 10 am. As I have been sitting here writing this post it has been slowly getting brighter.  [Oscar came down the other morning and said "it's really bright this morning"-first morning in a week when there was no rain!]

And as for my glasses-I should explain.  I've nearly ALWAYS had the same shape glasses.  Thin metal round frames.  I've been wanting to go for something different for years, but I never really knew what to pick.  These were the first pair I tried on and I love them.  And Nettie, yes, it was like seeing in HIGH DEFINITION putting these on.  My other glasses were so scratched (I could see the scratches while I was wearing them)- and I was overdue for a new prescription.  So I'm loving seeing clearly.

And happy mother's day to all my mothers (real, step, in-law and grand).  I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.
