So it turns out that Ella does have the chicken pox, even though it's only mild. That's meant that we've been stuck at home all week. Waiting for them to heal enough so I can send her back to school.
So yesterday Ella and I made some bread dough. Well, she made the dough but struggled with the kneading so I helped her out.
We've been watching loads of movies and just hanging out. Unfortunately it will mean that I'll miss my pottery class tomorrow (again!).
And I got a phone call today from the local historical society. I'd given them my number 2 years ago when Kit's class went there. They were doing spinning demonstrations, and I ended up showing all the kids and the "teacher" how to do it. They want me to run a teaching session for all the volunteers and to help run some of the student information sessions. Apparently they couldn't find my number and have been trying to track me down for ages (aw shucks). I'm really looking forward to working with them.
Lovely to chat with you this morning - hope Ella is recovered soon and that you enjoy your craft work with the community centre. mumxxx

oh cool George, does that mean you will take the spinning wheel along? I love it that you are getting mileage out of it!
ReplyDeleteAnd Ella with Chickenpox. Has she had it before? Remember when we first got to the US we thoguth Darbs and B had a mild case? Then they got it BAD when Hattie was born. Hope she is better soon. Im on holidays in Brissy. will be back home tomorrow.
