Clean
Not perhaps the most traditional way to spend Valentine's Day, but we gave the house a thorough going over today. Pulling out furniture, mopping floors, vaccuuming up the seemingly endless supply of animal hair and dust bunnies. Man, did it need it. And when I say "we" I mean mostly me, although the kids were told that if they didn't put in and help there would be no skiing for them this week. Kind of worked as motivation. And my darling, in a very romantic gesture, cleaned the bathroom for me-my least favourite job. So, for the next few hours (if that) I can bask in the gloriousness of a clean and tidy house...Packing can wait until tomorrow morning. We're off to the peace and quiet and snow of Vermont. ALL of our snow has melted in the last week. Not sure how long we're going for, but just looking forward to the lovely feeling of peace and connection to the earth I get when we're up there. And it will be SO nice to come home to a clean house.

I know a bloke with a gallery who is always complaining about Red Heeler and Kelpie hair, mainly Red Heeler of course, nobody would really complain about Keplie hair, particularly Dad...if only he had a daughter who would occasionally come round (possibly three or four times a week would be nearly enough, for a bit of practice cleaning, even grandkids could do I suspect)
ReplyDeletelove from the Doctor and gang, who are currently banned from the gallery during the day, even yours truly
