Seasons Greetings

A Christmas card from me to you.The kids are all excited.
They did housework for me this morning while I went out the chiropractor (nothing broken or out of placed-just all bruising thank goodness).
They've dragged Dad out to the mall for some last minute shopping-for me; I'm always done at the last minute.
Santa will be wrapping some presents while they are out. I called him on the reindeer phone and asked him to come and help me. Handy how he can flit around from place to place-a bit like Dumbledore.
The veggies are all peeled and soaking in water.
The Goose AND the Caper are defrosting in buckets of water.
The Christmas cookies are baked but not yet decorated.
No snow, only rain rain and more rain (and I've watched enough Christmas movies over the last week to know that if it doesn't snow on Christmas eve there will be no Christmas miracles...)
So we have a flurry of indoor snowflakes...some of them cheats this year. I used different shaped doilies (much to the kids' disgust,) as well as our own cut out ones, because sitting is not my favourite thing to do right now and it's hard to cut snowflakes out lying down.
Maybe we will get a Christmas miracle after all....

Merry Christmas to you all!!!

Wooooh spooky. It was the Christmas Eve Street Party last night in Wentworth and I was feeling a little guilty about the lack of Christmassy stuff at the front of our place (which is an old bank in the mainstreet). Then I had a flash of brilliance for next year... Georgia's snowflakes!! They'll look great in the windows (and cool)and since they face west will produce the most amazing shadows around the room in the evening.
Today I check the blog - eh voila the snowflakes. May even experiment with some later today when I stop playing with all my lovely presents.
It's a wonderful Christmas day - 37C ish (that'a a dash not a minus sign). Just ham, beautifully ripe tomatoes and basil, and melon for lunch. Then I've a few indulgences stashed away.
    Merry Christmas to you all,
    lots of love,
    Maggie XXXX
