Beach day

Matt's off this week, and this morning we decided to go to the local beach ("beach"). We went around high tide so we could actually swim. Matt and Kit did a little fishing, the kids and Matt all played tennis (didn't want to risk my back), the kids swam and played in the sand and I read on the beach.
They buried each other...
Watched the sailing lessons out on the sound...
And the clouds rolls by, but not over us...
Matt was flipping Kit...
A lovely morning at the beach.
(and yes, I still have to work out how to clean that spot off my camera).

  1. Shouldn't they be practicing their drumming!

A couple of days ago I re-discovered my Dad's woolen hat behind the seat in Joeleen and yes it is a bit worse for wear but it is special even if it makes me look daggier than usual. (Has daggier got two g's?)
Woolen hats should have an element of daggy, that's what your Dad thinks anyway.

It must be so nice to be swimming - Kit looks pretty high there! I like the hats too, but gather the kids didn't wear them to the beach.

Is this the beach around the corner from you? Looks lovely and how nice to have it so near. Maybe we can go there with you when we visit.
