Another post without photos...

Sorry.

But I think I have become an obsessive knitter. I have noticed lately that whenever I watch a movie or TV and people are wearing knitted things, I cannot help myself looking at and trying to mentally capture what they are wearing. I was doing it all through The Golden Compass when Lyra was wearing wonderfully chunky "gyptian" clothes, and this morning as we were watch "last one standing" I was checking out the wonderful peruvian hats.

And today is horrid ghastly weather...sleet, frozen rain, "plain rain" all mixed in and on top of icy snow. We had planned to go into the city with Matt's brother Dr. Dave, but I think it will be indoor activities...perfect for starting to knit a "chullo"-Peruvian flap hat. Mine will of course have little alpacas on it.

Hun, your Mum has to get out more...mind you our Dad has been spending a lot of time in his workshop lately trying to figure out how to use his new power tool which was (is) supposed to be making Xmas presents for your mob, and as it has taken a bit longer to get the hang of it than he thinks it should so he is now saying the presents will probably only be ready and delivered in time for the most important day in the Parsons family year (the 3rd February of course)... really they are late for xmas because he really knows that taking his gals out for sandhilling, swimming , pelican and duck chasing, redgumming etc is more important than well anything, even making presents for your mob... particularly when we are off to summer camp on Thursday while he takes Grim off to Tassy...(no games with Dad for more than a week for us)so could you please apologize to your mob , but I'm sure they will get plenty of stuff for Xmas and will appreciate having a few more goodies on Parsons Day in February, possibly Parsons week if you include your Dad's birthday...and do you reckon we should get our own blog in the new year so we don't have to get in the road of your Mum talking about knitting?
    Anyway love to your mob
    SSS and RR
PS last night Dad made us watch "Christmas Carols on the banks of the Darling" from our deck instead of going for our evening walk, because there were all these people out sittng listening to carols where we go for our evening walk
