We went to the Harry Potter party on Friday night. Got there at 11pm and since I hadn't pre ordered a book from them I had to line up to get one. I was first in line. They had doughnuts and punch in a cauldron and lots of Teenagers all dressed up as characters. Actually I was surprised by the general age of the kids...but I guess they all started reading it when they were around 9, 10, 11. They were so excited and it was generally really fun.
But I was too tired to start reading when I got home, so I started at 6am on Saturday when I got up with the puppy. And I finished it yesterday lunch time...Oscar finished not long after me as we have 2 copies. I have to say that I think she did a really great job finishing off the series and I was really satisfied with how it all ended. I feel like I want to go back and read it again though so that those characters will live on for a little while longer. Remi's reading it now and Matt's finishing off number 6 first.
But today has been another wet and dreary day and I just feel so tired-all these 5.45 am starts with the pup are wearing me out. I am not, nor will I ever be, a morning person. Even when I sleep I am sleeping lightly...I just need a big sleep in without listening out for the dog! So I'm going to try and squeeze in a nap before I have to pick Matt up from work.
you are done already! Im so like that with books and then when Im done Im ticked that I didnt make it last longer!! Looking forward to reading it one day! I wasnt a morning person but have become one this last 6 months. Why, I just got home from a 5 mile run and the kids are all still asleep!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHoney has been there a week or so, so she should have it all under control, and you lot as well, or she would if she was a kelpie.
ReplyDeleteBut is she allowed to sleep under the blankets, of course if you want a really good gal let her sleep under the blankets.
