Saturday afternoon was spent...

Walking around looking in shops and taking a break in a cafe....

Visiting the king at the "Slotte"/palace....

Posing under one of the many gorgeous smelling lilac (?) bushes....

Visiting wool shops and being too overwhelmed by colour and choice to actually buy any...

...except these 4 gorgeous merino rovings...can't wait to spin them up...

Climbing on more of the many sculptures around Oslo....

Using up our day metro pass on a ferry ride in the lovely sun....

Splashing around in the fountain while mum basked some more in the lovely sun...
(back to the hotel for a quick nap and then...)

Exploring the old fort before dinner.

This was the only time Ella got a bit grumpy. She was tired and I ended up having to carry her around while we were trying to find somewhere to eat. We ended up going into a pizza place that had open fires as she was cold by then too. We had done a lot that day, and in fact, I'd done all the things that were on my list to do. That left Sunday open for some shopping right?

  1. Yay...Im so glad you had a fabulous time. I cant beleive you are back already! The photos are fantastic. LOOOVE the sculptures, I can see why you like them, they are so raw and real. Did you go with only one battery??? Did it hold out the whole time? And how many photos did you take? Ohhh other places are so intriguing! Cant wait to see some more pics.

    Hi Georgia,

Your trip sounds great and I would have been exactly the same in the wool shop.

I went to the Colinette Mill a few years ago in Wales and didn't buy a thing for the same reason.
