shadow

I was thinking last night that maybe it's time to take the snowflakes down from the windows as Spring is approaching. But this morning when I opened the curtains I was greeted with this. That is their shadows on the wall. Made me smile. Ironically we have had the sting in Winter's tale this week with temps back down to -12 and it snowed lightly all day yesterday (only a light covering). But spring is in the air, and the days are getting lighter. I find myself loosing track of time in the evenings as it gets dark so much later. So now I am waiting and waiting to see if I will see any sight of all those tulips we planted last year. The only time I have ever done that was when we lived in Queens. The kids and I planted tulips and daffodiles and then we moved back to Australia before we had a chance to see if they came up. And while our landlord is eagerly awaiting our departure so that he can begin developing this area (knocking down this house) we have at least another year here. (He actually asked me the other day if we were going to leave in August! August! I feel like we only just got here!)
