A new passion

This is so much fun. I had never heard of needle felting until a few months ago, but I once I had, I had to give it a go. It's like painting with wool. This was the results of my first play with it last night. I just love it. Even Ella has given it a go (although I have to go back over it with the needle and felt it a bit more) and is making me something for my birthday this weekend. I can see so many possibilities for creating with this. So much fun. I just had to share...

So pretty and the colours are lovely. Here's to the people who discovered needle felting!

Just noticed that you love 'The Mists of Avalon'. Have you read Daughter of the Forest by Judith Marillier (it's got all those things too celtic, goddess) - I couldn't put it down. I was even reading it in the car (when Tom was driving ofcourse) and whilst I was cooking etc. The children will always remember me reading it.

  3. Cool stuff. I have one of those needles.....have you managed to get yourself yet? Ouch! We went to a family night of making felted toy puppets. It was great.
