Look what I've started. It gives me great me great joy to begin knitting with the wool I have spent the last week spinning oh so slowly with my drop spindle. I have experienced moments of absolute rapture today as this has started to grow. It is so soft and gorgeous. I was trying to follow a pattern, but too many abreviations that I don't understand plus a concern that I don't have enough of this lot of spinnings has meant that I had to quite radically alter the pattern. Always a worry flying by the seat of my pants like this because I don't understand knitting enough to be able to make it up! But I have finished the front and I'm onto the back, and SO FAR I am happy with it. I only hope that it can turn out how I imagine it in my head...and that it will suit me. Have a happy weekend!
