O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!

I am not good at keeping secrets, which is why this blog has been a bit all over the place lately.  I have been skirting around the real issues which have been dominating our lives.  The title of this post was composed MONTHS and MONTHS ago in the hope that one day, I would be able to use it.  (The Jabberwocky is my favourite poem and the only one I can confidently recite all the way through.)

After months, nearly a year even, of stress, of worry, of all kinds of penny pinching, of living on the edge in a way I hope never to have to do again, my dearest husband has a job again.  It means yet another international move (back to Singapore which we left 11 years ago) but it's all good.  Let the adventures continue.

****Hilde, if you are reading this; it's all your fault! I said the minute I knew you were moving to this country that it would mean that it was time we moved on.  We are fated never to be in the same country again!!!*****

  1. Life can change in an instant, hey? It seems a shame to go, with all that you have done in your homes, but when you gotta go, you gotta go! Hope the big move is not too stressful.

Now I'll be reciting the Jabberwocky for the rest of the day (I love it too!) :)

  3. Firt of all: Congratulations! That is great news and I am sure it will be very exciting for the whole family.

BUT: I had really looked forward to us being "neighbours" again, and our families finally getting to know each other...

I'll have to try to get a posting in Singapore next, and don't you dare move then.

  9. Oh my goodness - what news. Off to Singapore. So glad it's all worked out on the job front - must have been so stressful. When do you go?

Btw the blanket looks lovely - you should have put up the original photo so we could REALLY appreciate how much work you've done on it. I was hoping she was going to give it to you after all your hard work!
