Mid Autumn festival down by the pool tonight.

We had a lovely time down by the pool tonight.  The serviced apartments put on a big mid autumn festival party with food, DJ, balloon animal guy, face painter etc
It was such a gorgeous night.  Nice and mild, not hazy (we had a big storm last night which Oscar and Matt were caught in at rugby training), with a big full moon in a clear sky.

  1. I love the contrast from your Vermont posts, no not criticizing Vermont, but it begins to feel as though the new adventure is becoming just that.

  2. How lovely. I've always loved the Moon Festival - so another event to put on the list: Moon Festival in Singapore; Thanksgiving in Vermont; ice-skating on a lake... Do you remember the Vietnamese festivals in Hobart?
When I was a child I thought the concertina lanterns (Ella is holding one in one photo) were the most beautiful and exotic thing in the world. I think we had 2 - a pink one and green one for Christmas.
    Cute glimpse of Matt too!

  3. I should also say that Steve and I took particular notice of the moon last night - nice that we can all share the moon.

  4. Yes Maggie, the moon was spectacular last night. Very rare here to have such a clear night. And I do remember the Vietnamese festivals. Surely must have been something like the mid autumn festival. I remember us walking around the streets of Hobart with lanterns singing.

  5. ohhh so pretty. I love lanterns so much. I have always wanted to buy some of those huge ones that you light and send into the sky for a photoshoot. They apparently come down after a minute or so. So nice to think you guys are staying warm by the pool while it snows on the mountain here today!!! Brrrrrr

  6. It looks lovely. I loved the lanterns that Chelsea mentioned - we had those on the beach in Thailand and they went way way way up in the night sky and we never saw them again! mum xx
